Female Pirate/Ocean Master

Inspired by comic book art style. The outfit that she is wearing is a combination of different outfits from both real pirate outfits and some pirate costumes that had pleasing features that worked with the design of the character. The only weapon that she has in her possession is a design similar to the cutlass sword. I did not want to give her any flintlock pistols because I wanted to only showcase her main weapon of choice and help compliment her personality and abilities. A character with only a sword instead of a gun is more confident it their skills as to not have to fall back other weapons.

I decided to go with a darker skin tone, going off other comic book character like Storm from X-men as a starting point on how to properly shade the skin to make it appear more natural. As for the way the clothes, sash, bandanna, and hair are directed - I wanted to give the illusion of wind blowing these parts to the right.
